To commemorate the ending of the Orange County Capacity Building Program's two year grant period, CONNECT and FaCT are partnering up to provide this FREE one day conference! This training will be presented by the nationally renowned "La Piana" consulting firm to provide their expertise on collaboration and community restructuring to Orange County nonprofits. This will be the FINAL OCCBP workshop, so dont miss this great opportunity to continue your capacity building efforts!

This free conference will include:

• A keynote presentation on "Deepening Community Engagement Through Collaboration," detailing the different types of partnership options for nonprofit organizations, their benefits and challenges, and some high profile examples of successful partnerships.

• An expert panel discussion featuring local leaders who have had effective collaborative efforts

In addition to this, breakout sessions will be available and participants will be able to choose two of the following three workshops:

• Mergers of Nonprofit Organizations - This session will go into more depth on the challenges and benefits of nonprofit mergers and the steps that should be taken to ensure newly merged organizations are successful.
  

• Administrative Collaboration - This session explores the benefits of sharing administrative functions across departments. Includes successful examples from other organizations, potential challenges and benefits, and how to determine if such a set up would be right for your organization.
  

• Programmatic Partnerships including Cross-Sector Partnerships - This session will look into developing partnerships with other organizations that offer complementary services, including partnerships with for profit and public sector entities. Various programmatic models will be covered as well as tools to determine if such a partnership would benefit your organization.
  

This will be an all day event with light refreshments in the morning and lunch provided to all attendees.
